Team XXIV Rebuilding Windsor DJs

Thursday, March 30th, 2006

Team XXIV is working with the City of Stonnington to rebuild Windsor Siding dirt jumps. It will be a several week process, so you will have to be patient while there are no jumps there. Today saw the removal of the table-top and first set of the 4 pack. The council have to come back in the next week with bigger equipment to get through the jumps as the soil is very dry and hard.

In a few weeks we will be building completely new jumps. There will be more jumps which will be much better quality. It will be a complete redesign to include large, medium and small sets to cater to all levels of dirt jumper. We will post up here when everything it’s ready to go!

Southbank and Docklands Urban

Tuesday, March 28th, 2006

Southbank is one of the main parts in the city that is fun to ride. It’s got plenty of ledges and tricky stuff to trick on. Southbank starts under the bridge where St. Kilda Rd. becomes Swanston St. It continues all the way up along the Yarra River, crossing over Kings Way Bridge, Crown and Exhibition Centre. It then turns in to an old foot bridge along side of the Yarra River, which leads all the way up to Yarra’s Edge apartments at the Docklands. After crossing over the arty “Web “Bridge”, Southbank ends and turns into a scenic footpath all the way up along the tram line to the Telstra Dome (which has plenty of areas to sesh) and finally ends at the New Key apartments.

If you follow the dotted lines along the map, you will easily find your way around.

Harry’s 24Seven

harrysbike4.jpg

After selling his DMR, Harry purchased his lime green 24Seven Dark Angel v24 frame about 2 weeks ago. When I saw it, I couldn’t help myself. I had to have a ride of his new green machine. The top tube is quite long for a very short seat tube. It gives it a really slack and street feeling bike. Also with a short chain stay, makes it easy to manual and helps out with doing tricky street stuff.

Ken’s Sesh at Windsor

Monday, March 27th, 2006

I gave Ken a call on Friday, requesting that he should come to Windsor for a spin! Nothing too hardcore, just a cruisy sesh to keep the joints moving and flowing. After getting through the 8 pack he was stylin’ it up.

I was trying to get some different angles from different areas of the track. Mainly just experimental work to see what I could come up with.
