It is an interview with one half of Dobermann, Alain, that gives an insight into how Dobermann came about, their history and their aspirations for the future. If you have ever been to a big Hip Hop gig, then chances are you have seen the Funkoars shredding up the stage in fine form. These guys have an absolute killer live set that really gets the crowd revved, I always look forward to a show when they are on the line up. I had only ever heard The Funkoars live, but the nice guys and girls at Obese sent me their new album titled The Greatest Hits .
I have been playing this album non stop for a couple of months now and I still haven’t tired of it. Now if your offended by bad language, tales of debauchery with easy women, nights on the booze and general riotous behavior…this isn’t for you. These guys are shameless, self dubbed Smut Hop, throwing around ruthless and offensive rhymes left, right and centre…I loved it!
The album is produced spectacularly, the sound is spot on with all the tracks having a good level of depth and originality in their sound. You will be jumping around to these tracks in no time, great music to get you psyched for a night out or a session at the jump park. As with most Obese releases, the family comes to play on a few tracks. The album features the Hilltop Hoods as well as the godfather; Pegz.
If the Hilltop Hoods are the kings of Aussie hip hop, then the Funkoars are set to overthrow the monarchy.

The other Sunday some of the lads and I went for a seshion at Narre East (article coming), followed up by The Shed at Cranbourne. It was my first trip out to the shed and although i had thrown a tanty and refused to ride (because my brake shat itself!) i was still super impressed! They have a massive facility with something there to keep every rider happy.
Now first thing is first, this is predominantly a skater / fruit booter only venue. But they throw down a rider only session every Sunday from 5pm to 9pm. Entry is $8, but if you are just sticky beaking it is free.
So The Shed consists of heaps of your standard park stuff, fun boxes, quarters, rails etc. But it also has a massive wall ride, quarter spine section, half pipe, quarter pipes, and the icing on the cake… a foam pit. Great for learning anything on, especially the tricky stuff like backflips, tailwhips etc.
They also have a canteen that has Zappos, a win in my book any day! Not only can the staff sell you Zappos, but they are all fully qualified for first aid so you can be rest assured your in safe hands if something goes wrong.

New Site:
It may have appeared that we haven’t been up to much recently, but I have been extremely busy behind the scenes working on what you are looking at now; XXIV 2. I have changed the way the whole website works, most notably there is a much easier to use navigation system in the form of a drop down menu just below the banner image. We have brought our news and import areas under the one XXIV banner, so you will now have much easier access to our products from any page on the website. The backend system has also been changed to WordPress, which will keep everything running very smoothly. It also makes commenting on articles easier than ever before so don’t be afraid to comment on any articles written.

We are also working on a number of events at the moment, but it is early days yet. When we have some solid information we will put it up on the website ASAP.
