Gamut USA P40 White ISCG
Gamut P40 White ISCG 05

We just received our latest shipment of Gamut. We now have the white P40s in stock as well as ISCG 05 plates to suit both P40 and G45 chain devices. The white P40s look very slick and will compliment every colour bike really well, just as the black does but with a little more class and a whole lot more bling.

We have also just received a P30 prototype! Gamut has listened to all the riders out there and developed the P30 which is a 36t specific chain device. What this means is you can run a 36t (extremely popular ring size) and have a smaller bashguard which means more clearance. As well as this you will save a few more grams over the already incredibly light P40.

New Gamut clothing is also now available with some really cool new shirt designs as well as a slick new hoodie. Remember, winter is only around the corner and this is some slick gear to be rolling with. We are working on pricing for an extensive clothing rang at the moment. XXIV and product clothing will only be available directly from us, not through shops…this means you get kick as clothes very cheap mailed to your door. Stay tuned!

There are a bunch more pics in “read more”, or surf on over to a mini gallery of the new gear at: Gamut USA Photo Set

Goings on…

Saturday, February 3rd, 2007

As always we have been keeping very busy. We road tripped up to Canberra for the 2007 Australian MTBA Championships. It was a great trip with the common road trip antics, but you know the rules…what happens on a road trip stays on the road trip. The DH track was alot of fun, although it was really blown out come race day. 3 Lucky class winners walked away with Gamut chain devices, well done guys! I raced in expert and after only 1 practice run (i blame jack for missing practice, he lives in Canberra too!) managed to crash my way (twice) to 47th in Expert Mens. It was my first DH race and I enjoyed it alot, so will definitely be getting out into the DH scene more and hopefully in future pinning it.

Straitline Components

Straitline Levers

We have given the Straitline gear a good old testing and we are extremely impressed. We knew with their background in precision engineering that the producst would be of an extremely highly quality, but they exceeded our expectations. Most notable are the levers are great, that do actually make a notable perfomance upgrade to your brakes. The pedals are simply amazing, I gave them their first workout at Mt. Buller on a wet and muddy day. They never skipped a beat, the mud pushed through easily and the custom made pins gripped really well, my feet never slipped once. If you are looking for a good flat pedal, make sure you give it a look.

In case you haven’t seen here is some recent coverage Straitline have been getting:

Banshee Bikes Blog & Wildcard Frame

Banshee Wildcard Prototype

Banshee Wildcard Prototype

Banshee Bikes Blog

Well a couple of weeks back the cat was let out of the bag and the Banshee Bikes Blog was public knowledge. Jay and Keith from Banshee are making regular posts documenting what goes on behind the scenes at Banshee Bikes including full info on the 2008 frames as the design, test and prototype them. The bike featured above is the Wildcard which is a slopestyle specific frame with 6.5 and 5″ travel positions, Turner 4 Bar suspension, 1.5″ Headtube and low seat tube heights with geometry to suit its application. Alan Hepburn and Chris Soininen will be ripping it up at Crankworx this year on prototypes which will have one side black, the other side white. So the frame will essentially change colours when they 360 or tailwhip, cool huh!?

Check out the Banshee Bikes Blog for all the details on this frame and much much more from Banshee.
