Banshee Bikes Interbike Video

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Here is a video hot of the press at MTBR.com with Jay from Banshee Bikes running through some of Banshee’s new frames this year inlcuding the Rune, Wildcard and Scythe. All the Banshee’s this year have lightened up, got a few new design for different applications and frames that will offer more flexibility for different riding applications. One thing to note about the Scythe that wasn’t mentioned, is that it has ride position adjustment which will change your BB height and head angle. See the Scythe specific videos down the page a bit to find full details.

Banshee Scythe - Freeride / DH

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

We are pleased to introduce the Banshee Scythe, Banshee’s new Freeride / DH bike for 2008. This bike replaces both the Chaparral and the Scream by combining the best of both worlds and then improving on them ten fold. Now using custom hydro-formed, triple butted tubing this frameset is lighter than the Chaparral yet Stronger than the Scream. The travel has been set at 7 or 8″ with an adjustable shock mount which will alter the BB height and Angles to suit either faster DH or Slower FR.

The shock mounting has also changed, this allows for an uninterrupted seat tube which will allow you to raise the seat and pedal up hill as well as down. It has also allowed Banshee to increase the shock length which puts less stress on the frame and seals as well as providing more responsive suspension.

Banshee Rampant - 4X Race Bike

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

This is Simon Cardon, a Banshee team rider from France. He is absolutely killing it on the new Rampant 4X race bike in this video…boy can ride a bike! Simon is responsible for the development on the Rampant prototypes, he is the reason the geo is so spot on. As you can see he knows how to ride a bike very well and very fast, taking out 5th at the French Nationals in 4X. He also unbelievably took out 4th place at the Belgium National DH Championships in Elite on that very same bike! Only 2 seconds behind Nico Vinq, a UCI rider… well done Simon!

Below is another video with Keith Scott, Banshee’s engineer talking you through the Rampant:
