XXIV 2.0

Thursday, September 7th, 2006

New Site:

It may have appeared that we haven’t been up to much recently, but I have been extremely busy behind the scenes working on what you are looking at now; XXIV 2. I have changed the way the whole website works, most notably there is a much easier to use navigation system in the form of a drop down menu just below the banner image. We have brought our news and import areas under the one XXIV banner, so you will now have much easier access to our products from any page on the website. The backend system has also been changed to WordPress, which will keep everything running very smoothly. It also makes commenting on articles easier than ever before so don’t be afraid to comment on any articles written.

 New Product:

Brembo Racing

We have recently scored exclusive distributorship for Brembo Racing with Australia. You may know of them from their domination in the automotive industries. They have just made their first every mountain bike braking system which is simply amazing to use, check it all out: Brembo Brakes

New Content:

We are also working on a number of events at the moment, but it is early days yet. When we have some solid information we will put it up on the website ASAP. Make sure you keep coming back over the next 2 weeks as we will have a heap of content which has been waiting until the new site was ready including reviews of Funkoars latest CD, Roam DVD and Drift 3 DVD.

See you all soon!

Dobermann Production Update

Friday, May 5th, 2006

shop2.jpg

Don’t they look pretty?

Dobermann production is starting to gain some momentum and we should see the production Pinscher frames here within 2 months, we are very excited (as you should be too!).

Don’t forget that you can get these bad boys in any custom colour you desire and also glow in the dark additive or metallic flakes for a small surcharge ($50 per upgrade). If you are considering this then email me ASAP as we will need to get a deposit and have the frames painted in the colour of your choice.

So here as some more photos in the rest of the article to tickle your fancy.

Up and Coming

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2006

Hey Troops,

We have been absolutely flat out recently. Mostly organising new products and also new brands we will be importing into Australia. We should have a whole bunch of new stuff here soon, but it is still a bit under wraps, rest assured we will post the news and photos first here. We are also working on our corporate image, including business cards, catalogues and website re-designs, so sadly the news side of things has been a bit neglected recently!

We also have a bunch of reviews in the pipeline, NWD 6, Earthed 3 and Tuffneck Hubs.

One of these will be up by Friday, so hang in there, new content is on it’s way!

Cheers,

Ken

Rider’s Rigs

Thursday, October 20th, 2005

We are looking for some reader’s pimping rigs to put up on the site. We want to do a weekly / monthly article on one rider’s rig (depending on the response). So if you want to get your rig up on XXIV, then send me an email at ken@xxiv.com.au along with a high-res photo of it and we will interview you on your rig, why you choose the components you did and what exactly you use it for.

Hope to some of your stylin’ bikes in my inbox soon!

Pedalphilia.com nap

Tuesday, May 10th, 2005

Apologies to everyone for the minor downtime Pedalphilia.com experienced the past 2 days, we we’re upgrading some software on the server and had to re-install some stuff to get everything schmick again.

But stay tuned, we have a bunch of articles in the pipeline as we speak.

On-One Gimp review coming soon……

Thursday, April 14th, 2005

Young Trevor from work (who is older than me, hah!) has sourced a Gimp frame for testing from the kind folks at On-One Australia. Word on the street is that it will be arriving tomorrow / early next week, but i am just hoping sometime in the next couple of weeks.

gimp.jpg

As you can see the gimp is a pimp frame, with adjustable disc mounts for horizontal dropouts (something that alot of people manage to fuck up), looks to be good geomotry and is made from steel. It will be my first dirt jump bike to ride that is made from steel and i am keen to see what all the fuss is about, so expect a long and thoughtful review on it.

Check out more D’s on On-Ones site: The Gimp

New camera on the way

Monday, February 28th, 2005

I will soon be the proud owner of a Casio EX-P700 compact digital camera, so you will be seeing alot more photos on the site.

Cannondale is still on its way, another magazine in sydney got to it first unfortunately but it is on its way here soon.

In other news, The Zigster is gettin a new jump bike (finally!), he is getting an STP 1 with Manitou Nixon forks, should go a treat! Will be good to see him out there again, and have someone to take pics of.

Expect to see a whole bunch more entries in the next few weeks!
