Straitline Components Pedal Rebuild

Straitline Components Platform Pedal Cutaway - Simple eh? Greg just posted up some parts diagrams of the pedals and some videos on how to pull apart, service and put back togethor your Straitline Pedals. They are a super simple design and extremely easy for you to service and clean at home. We also stock a full range of spare parts so you can rebuild your pedals and keep them running for years. All the spares are cheap too:

  • Axle: $35 RRP
  • Soft Rebuild Kit: $27.50 RRP (new bushings, teflon washers, frisbees, poodle clips for 1 set [2] pedals).

The bushings are rated for 1000+ hours of use, but obviously if you get mud, fine dirt etc. in there it is going to wear them out quicker. So given them a clean and service every now and then to keep them in top shape. The bushings take an absolute beating though and are a much better option than bearings for this application. Other big name companies are already following Straitline’s lead with their use. Read more!

New Automated Machinery at Straitline Straitline have been struggling to produce enough numbers as demand has been far out-stripping supply. But they have bought a bunch of new (very expensive!) CNC machinery which they have been spending the last few months installing and setting up. Everything is finally ready and they are officially now automated. They leave the machines running and making products while they go home at night, all automated loading, machining etc. Very cool stuff. You can see above how much production has expanded also. On the left is an old-school tombstone which can hold 4 sets of levers, on the right the new tombstones from their Mori Seiki NH4000. Here is a small initial test run they did of it, very cool:

Greg from Straitline Components is always posting up funny and informative stuff on their blog, so if you like the look of their products keep an eye on the blog: http://straitline.blogspot.com/ Hopefully this will be of use to any existing customers wanting to rebuild their pedals. If you are having any dramas then just conact us. Cheers, Ken
